Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #154

Sponsor: DigiStamp Boutique
Image: Rosie on a Swing

Welcome everyone to another wonderful Wednesday.  Well it's not wonderful in Auckland today it's a little nippy, with thunder, lightning and very heavy rain oh and then the sun comes out.  Oh I do wish I was crafting all day today but I've got other thing to do.

I've just received a telephone call since I started typing this posting.  On Sunday my hubby and the boys took me out to lunch for Mother's Day  we went to a bar and restaurant where they had a colouring competition for the children to do for mum.  My youngest thought he would enter he's 10 years old and colours in quite well, but on the back he had to write a story why his mum was the best in the world which he did.  Out of over a 150 entries his was chosen and he won this amazing hamper for me, I so excited as I never win anything.  They told me they chose his entry because of the great colouring and his story he had written about me was amazing and sounded a lot older than a 10 year old that brings tears to my eyes.  He told me that if he won it for me that I had to give him a glass of wine as there is a Magnum of Sparking Wine in the hamper yes right a glass a sparkling grape juice I think......I'm so excited I pick it up on Saturday when I go to the boys Soccer games.  I'll tell you next week what is in it.......

Today is Wednesday that's right it's
and congratulations to last weeks winners awesome cards ladies.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday and a new sketch.   Congratulations to our winner and top 3 awesome work ladies and it's so lovely to comment on your creations.  Our sketch isn't  really new this week we are featuring an oldie but a goodie from the past.

Here's my card using Deidre Mosher's image Parisian Cat

My blast from the past which was Sketch #96 and featured on my blog
on Wednesday 6th April 2011

This week our new sponsor is
Deidre Mosher you may know Deidre  formally from
Shirley's 2 Girls
Deidre Mosher Bio
Wildy Whimsical and Seriously Sassy Art is definitely a trademark of Deidre Mosher.

I have been in the business of art for over 25+ years. Starting out as a fashion illustrator, moving into Art Direction, where I did everything from print to TV...and eventually I found my way back to illustration. My art is just plain fun and my love of color is clearly evident in the designs I create. I'm currently licensed with a variety of companies...my designs are used on craft products, greeting cards/paper products, kitchenware, business products and such.
I am first and foremost an...Illustrator and Designer. I am inspired by seriously sassy & bold colors, but also love the 'wow factor' of classic black and white designs. I'm crazy for stripes and dots, and they are a repeated theme in my work.
As an Illustrator, I work in many mediums and styles, ranging from the line art to pastels...having fun adapting them to the latest project. I am inspired by some my favorite artists ...Matisse's use of bold color, Klimt's knowledge of figures and lavish attention to detail, and Gauguin's wild approach to his subjects. They are all so 'awe inspiring'! I'm happiest when I am in my studio and starting a new project...making a mess, experimenting...and even throwing paint.
Any day in the studio is a great day!

I usually get an idea when I least expect it...so when the 'light bulb' goes off...I sketch and sketch and sketch...(hence the reason I buy tracing paper in bulk). I always begin with a pencil and paper, and it evolves from there. My favorite part of the process?? EVERYTHING...from beginning to end.

Deidre is offering a our very lucky winner
$10.00
